How to Install Your Template into Outlook

In order to send emails using your business template, you need to install the HTML template file into Outlook as an Outlook template. Here's how:

1. From the email we have sent you with your Template file, right click on the attachment and click 'save as' into any easy-to-find location. You can also 'drag 'n drop' the attachment into that location if you so wish.

2. Click on TOOLS ---> OPTIONS ---> MAIL FORMAT (tab), then click on STATIONERY PICKER under 'Stationery and Fonts' half way down in that panel. That will open a new panel.

3. Click NEW, and another panel will open. In section 1, enter a name for your Template, then in section 2, choose the button 'Use this file as a template'.

3a. Click BROWSE and double click the template file in your stored location. This will now automatically return you to the 'Create New Stationery' panel. Click NEXT.

3b. In the 'Message Font' section, choose your preferred default font and size, and then check that 'Do not include a background in this stationery' is selected.

In the lower Preview, you will see a section of your template. Click OK.

4. Now just one last step.
The images must be referenced from the server, not sent by Outlook as attachments.

In the same OPTIONS panel and MAIL FORMAT tab, ensure that HTML is selected from the 'Compose in this message format:'. Then Click INTERNET FORMAT, and ensure that the first check box in NOT selected:

That's it done.

Now when you click the NEW mail button to compose an email, your template will open automatically and you can enter you message as you would normally.

Things to Note:
1. Be careful not to delete any of the buttons or graphics in your email as they contain coded links to Envelope's server where the images are stored. All the template images are stored on our server to ensure that your template fully displays to all your recipients.
If you do inadvertently delete any graphics and you can't 'undo last' action, you will have to start again in a new email (cut 'n paste your work into this prior to closing the old one!).

2. When you send email templates from your PC they won't be tracked as would be the case when sent from our mailing system.

3. Ensure that any tables or images you embed into the template are not any wider than 648 pixels otherwise the formatting won't be maintainted.
